It's hard to believe but it's already been thirty years since my first guitar-making course. Nowadys my instruments are played and cherished worldwide. I'm very proud and immensely grateful to say they've found homes in countries as diverse as: Brunei • Canada • China • Cyprus • France • Germany • Indonesia • Israel • Italy • Japan • Mexico • New Zealand • Poland • Singapore • South Korea • Sweden • Switzerland • Thailand • Turkey • United Kingdom • USA • Venezuela.
2004: Following four years and thousands of instruments at Lakewood Guitars, I passed my Master Examination in Mittenwald, Germany. The path to independence laid before me. I established my own workshop with only two orders and a giant leap of faith – which has certainly paid off. Since then, I’ve been building and selling my classical guitars globally, to both private customers and specialized dealers.
2000: During my time at Lakewood, I simultaneously learned German and pursued the German apprenticeship examination in Mittenwald, which I successfully passed that spring. I then continued my tenure there as a qualified journeyman.
1998: I applied for luthier positions in the USA, Australia, and many other locations. Fortunately, I was selected for a full-time guitar maker position at Lakewood Guitars in Giessen, Germany.
1997: I completed the Classical Guitar Making course at Newark & Sherwood College in the UK with distinction, driven by a strong desire to gain more practical experience.
1996: After months of saving, I traveled to Timeless Instruments in Tugaske, Canada, where I completed two guitar building courses with David Freeman. Armed with those diplomas, I then pursued a British college degree in guitar making..
1995: A four-week acoustic guitar building course with Michael Sandén ignited the spark that set me on this 30-year ongoing journey. That initial flame has fueled my unwavering focus and dedicated work ever since.
1972:
I was born in the small village of Viken in south of Sweden, a privilege for which I am deeply grateful.
